Extensive experience in the global consumer, telecomms, computing and electronics industries with blue chip companies ranging from $4B to $18B turnover, managing annual spends of up to $3B, budget responsibility of $10M and organizations of up to 280 people.

Extensive experience of working in Eastern Europe - Poland, Hungary, Ukraine and Russia - and Asia - China, Japan, S. Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Spent four and a half years as an expat in Palo Alto, California, USA.

I have 12 years experience as a Procurement and Supply Chain Director at European and global levels successfully contributing to the strategic direction and overall results of the business as both the leader of the function and a key member of the senior management team running the business.

I am highly experienced and knowledgeable in leading edge procurement and supply chain processes – category management; strategic sourcing; outsourcing; supplier management and development; complex contract negotiation and management; driving continuous improvement via performance scorecarding processes; relationship management; supplier base reduction; 3PL and 4PL logistics models.

My key skills include:

Advanced negotiation and influencing skills, with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Driving supply chain optimization and procurement cost reduction – for example, achieved in excess of $200M in cost savings for Sun Microsystems; identified cost savings of €825M for Electrolux; achieved 8 days cash cycle for Jabil; reduced product lead times by 4 weeks at Motorola.

Global programme management.

Demonstrable track record of achieving aggressive goals within a variety of different industry sectors and business cultures.
