I went throgh your profile as well as your discussion on China Group. I am a bit confused at what exactly you are trying say. For example you have mentioned in your profile about Inventory management, vendor management, etc, yet on the discussion board you state that you do not have experience in the Inventory management or control. What is the reality?
I personally do not feel lack of experience in one electronics industry would be a hindrance in getting a job in that industry. I personally have experience in different industries and it was never a hindrance. At an interview you need to market yourself and show the company how you can be an asset to their organization. What value you can add to them by you being part of their organization based on your experience. HR people would always talk about lack of industry experience, but it is upto you to convince them that being a SCM professional the lack of industry experience would never be a shortfall for you to perform well.
As far as Inventory management is concerned since you have experience you would need to talk about how you control inventory, when do you order for goods, what process you follow example do you follow JIT (Just In Time), system? What analysis do you conduct on inventory. How do you classify the goods in your inventory. Example do you use ABC analysis? What actions do you take on ageing inventory. Do you use the min max principle before placing an order?
You need to talk about these things during your Interview especially if you are asked about Inventory management.
